Immediately after treatment there may be some redness, swelling, tenderness and an itching sensation in the treated area. This is a normal result of the injection. The initial swelling after lip treatment may last longer and some patients experience swelling for up to a week. During this time the lips may also look somewhat uneven, but should this occur there is no need to worry. The result directly after the treatment should not be seen as the final result.
